About Redcar Fundseekers

Redcar Fundseekers is a free funding-discovery service for small charities, voluntary groups, and community organisations across Redcar and Cleveland. We maintain a regularly updated directory of grants from over 730 funders — national lottery distributors, charitable trusts, government bodies, and local foundations — all pre-checked for accessibility to groups in this area.

The directory is delivered by Redcar & Cleveland Voluntary Development Agency (RCVDA) in partnership with Tees Valley Rural Action (TVRA). It is free to use — and will always be — but it takes real staff time to keep it running. We do not charge fees or commissions, and we do not advocate for any particular funder.

If you find Fundseekers useful, the most painless way to support us is to play the Redcar & Cleveland Community Lottery for £1 a week. Every ticket sold through the lottery puts 10p into the fund that keeps this service running — whichever local cause a player chooses. If you select Redcar Fundseekers as your cause, we receive 60p from every ticket you buy.

If your group would like to raise funds of its own, you can register as a lottery good cause — you do not need to be a registered charity. Your supporters buy tickets for £1 a week and your organisation receives 50p from every one sold. We benefit from the 10p general fund too, so everyone gains.

If you would prefer to make a direct contribution, you can donate through Local Giving — we suggest £13.45, the current Real Living Wage hourly rate. If you are a UK taxpayer, please consider adding Gift Aid: it costs you nothing and increases the value of your donation by 25%.

If you cannot find what you need, or if you believe a grant should be listed and isn't, get in touch. We update the directory regularly and welcome tips about new or newly accessible funding programmes.
