Redcar & Cleveland Voluntary Development Agency (RCVDA) and Tees Valley Rural Action (TVRA) run Redcar Fundseekers. Specifically, it is a free service for the voluntary and community sector in Redcar and Cleveland. These terms of use explain what you can do with the information on this site, and what we ask if you want to reuse it.
Facts about funders and their programmes
No one owns the underlying facts about each funder or each funding programme. Those facts cover names, charity numbers, deadlines, eligibility, contact details, and amounts. Anyone may state the same facts in their own words. In practice, we compile them here as a convenience for the local sector. You do not need our permission to look something up and tell a colleague.
Our own contributions
Redcar Fundseekers adds value of its own. In particular, that value includes original descriptive prose, editorial summaries, the way we select and group funders, and the design of the directory pages. We release those contributions under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0).
For example, you may share and adapt this material for any purpose, including commercially. The CC BY 4.0 terms ask you to credit us, link to the licence, and note any changes. Suggested credit line: “Includes content from Redcar Fundseekers, licensed under CC BY 4.0.”
The directory as a whole
However, the directory as a whole is a different question. UK database right protects the assembled, maintained, and updated collection of funders and programmes that we have drawn together from multiple sources. Substantial extraction of the directory, or substantial re-utilisation of its contents for commercial purposes, requires our permission.
If you are a commercial publisher, aggregator, or platform considering reuse on that scale, please get in touch at [email protected]. We grant per-arrangement permissions where the reuse benefits the wider sector. We would rather have a conversation than a misunderstanding.
In contrast, non-commercial reuse is welcome with attribution. That covers charities, voluntary groups, councils, community organisations, researchers, and educators. You do not need to ask first, but we appreciate a courtesy note so we know who’s finding the directory useful.
Underlying data sources
Some of the information on this site comes from open datasets that third parties publish under their own licences. Our data sources and licensing page summarises those licences. They continue to apply to the underlying data regardless of how we present it.
Accuracy and reliance
We work hard to keep the directory accurate. Funders change their programmes, eligibility, and deadlines on their own timetables, not ours. Each funder page links to the funder’s own website, which is the authoritative source. Before submitting an application, please check the funder’s own site for current eligibility, deadlines, and how to apply.
Still, Redcar Fundseekers, RCVDA, and TVRA accept no responsibility for decisions you make on the basis of out-of-date or inaccurate information on this site. Of course, we will always correct anything we get wrong as quickly as we can.

These terms of use apply to content on the Redcar Fundseekers website. The funder and partner websites that we link to are governed by those organisations’ own terms; please check theirs separately if you intend to reuse material from them.
