Redcar Fundseekers is a free funding-discovery platform built for the charity and voluntary sector in Redcar and Cleveland. In one searchable database, we bring together over 800 UK funders and 900 funding opportunities. As a result, small charities, voluntary groups and community organisations can find grants that match what they do.
You search by the amount you need, the area of work you focus on, and the geography you serve. Furthermore, there is no jargon and no hidden criteria. Instead, you get a straightforward way to discover funders who want to support organisations like yours.
Why Redcar Fundseekers exists
Finding funding is hard. Typically, you run a small charity or voluntary group with limited staff. Meanwhile, volunteers juggle multiple roles, and budgets do not leave room for specialist fundraisers. As a result, you should not have to spend weeks hunting through dozens of websites, reading dense eligibility criteria, and second-guessing whether a funder will even consider you.
Too many good organisations in our region miss out on funding they are perfectly eligible for, simply because they do not know it exists. Meanwhile, too many funders tell us they would love to support work like yours, but their own discovery tools mean they never hear about you in the first place.
We built Redcar Fundseekers to close that gap. In short, it is a resource that is genuinely free, genuinely open to everyone, and genuinely designed around how you actually work.
How it works
The database covers UK funders whose programmes are accessible to organisations in Redcar and Cleveland. In particular, that includes charitable trusts and foundations, government bodies, lottery distributors, and corporate funders. Programmes range from major national schemes down to small local ones.
Every funder record shows what they fund, how much they typically award, their eligibility criteria, application deadlines, and where to apply. Similarly, every funding programme shows who runs it, what it covers, when it closes, and how much is available.
In addition, you can filter by grant size, funding theme, and whether you are looking to serve a hyperlocal community, the wider North East, or the whole of the UK. You can also see which funders are currently taking applications and which will open later in the year. Finally, if you find a funder you like, you can download their contact details as a vCard or save grant deadlines to your calendar.
Who can use it
If you are a registered charity, a Community Interest Company, a constituted voluntary group, or a community organisation working in Redcar and Cleveland, Redcar Fundseekers is for you.
For example, you might have only recently registered and you are looking for your first grant. Alternatively, you might run an established organisation exploring new funding sources. Or you might volunteer on a grassroots project with no formal registration yet. In every case, we have built the platform to welcome you, regardless of your size, experience, or legal structure.
What’s next
Redcar Fundseekers is growing. Furthermore, we are constantly adding new funders and programmes as we discover them. In addition, we work closely with the wider funding community to make sure the information stays current and accurate.

Redcar Fundseekers is a joint service of Redcar & Cleveland Voluntary Development Agency (RCVDA) and Tees Valley Rural Action (TVRA).
